Dr. Jon Rogers was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington graduating from Mt. Tahoma High school in 1978. He attended Tacoma Community College earning an AA degree and playing baseball for the Titans. His chiropractic education was at Life Chiropractic College West in San Lorenzo, California. Dr. Rogers graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1984 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He successfully sat the Washington State Chiropractic board examination in 1985 and has maintained a full time practice since then. He lives in Edgewood with his wife and three children. Dr. Rogers enjoys sports activities, playing or watching, and above all spending time with his family. Between his kids’ sports and music events he occasionally finds time to squeeze in a round of golf.
It’s interesting how one arrives at a “specialty” in chiropractic. Dr. Rogers achieved certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1993 from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. Although he served two seasons as the Pierce Co Bengals team physician most of his athletic injury experience has been with high school athletes, children and weekend warriors. Interesting and fulfilling but not quite MLB/NBA/NFL! Oh well he still waits for “the call”. Meanwhile back in the real world, where specialties find you based on the cases that find your office, auto accident injuries, work related injuries disc problems, headaches and low back pain are what Dr. Rogers really specializes in. He uses many techniques from manual manipulation to traction to light force activator based on the patient’s problem and background. Some Chiropractic Techniques used at NHC include Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, Cox, Leander Traction and SOT. Exercise is widely used ranging from home exercise advice to prescribed pool therapy to in house rehabilitation.
Dr. Rogers also gives advice from dietary to postural to ergonomics. Chiropractic in our opinion should not start and end only with the adjustment. Your wellness is a major concern at North Hill Chiropractic.
